Fun & Fantasy, A Book Of Drawings , by Ernest Shepard. With an introduction by A.A. Milne. Published by Methuen & Co. LTD. This Edition, on hand-made paper, published in 1927, is limited to 150 numbered copies signed by the Artist, of which 50 are for sale in the United States of America . Number 16. Signed by Ernest H. Shepard. 87 pages plus plates. Cloth backed boards have fading at edges of front board (less pronounced that it appears in the picture) and and inch of fade along top edge of rear. Corners are bumped and bottom corners are worn through. Spine has only light rubs at the ends. The paper label is toned and rubbed at edges with no loss of text. However, there is an extra, pristine label attached to rear inner cover (see pic). Hinges are intact and binding is tight. Plain endpapers are clean of writing, lightly toned, with slighly heavier toning at edges and gutters. The top edges of the second page of the intro and the illustrations list has never been cut. The hand-made paper is very thick and has rough edges. Pages are clean. Every page has the delightful black and white comic illustrations Shepard was known for from these contributions to Punch. Additionally, there are 5 glossy single-sided color plates, one two page color and the color frontispiece for a total of 8 color plates.Of obvious scarcity. Exterior condition
