The 80th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh's historic 1927 New York to Paris flight is coming up this May 21st. This would be a great item to add to a collection of that great event. Thirty years or so ago, I had a flurry of interest in Charles Lindbergh. I collected a few items relating to his historic flight. I have moved several times since and recently found the mirror packed away in a box for safekeeping. My Lindbergh passion faded a while ago. Now it's time for some avid collector to enjoy this mirror. It's in very good shape, considering it is working on 80 years old. It is 3-9/16 inches wide and 2-3/8 inches high. The very edges of the mirror have lost some silvering. T are a few minute scratches on mirror surface. It is perfectly usable as a mirror. I've tried to photograph the mirror side and it's tough to do! The back and frame are in remarkably good condition. I'm not a button or souvenir collector, so don't know what material covers the back of the mirror. It appears to be a clear celluloid over the printed material which might be on paper? (I would have thought paper might have faded, so I don't know.) It is in excellent condition, as is the "Plucky" Lindbergh picture, the Spirit of St. Louis drawing and other type. The red white and blue colors are rich and strong. T are no cracks in the celluloid covering. I have read more
