Use the Revell or AMT Model A kit as a donor.YES YOU CAN DO THIS, RESIN IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT 1) Cleaning: Before using parts must be washed with soap and alcohol to remove the mold release.(or Westley's White Wall cleaner works great) 2) Warping: if a part is warped or bent, use hot boiling water to pull it back to shape. Then put it in cold water to "set" it, just as you would with a plastic kit.3) Body Work: After cleaning, the parts may be sanded, filled or drilled. Small imperfections or pin holes can be filled with super glue or epoxy.4) Painting: Primer coats of automotive primer are recommended on all parts before painting. You may use enamels or lacquers. Lacquers work great for finish coats.5) If you need to strip paint, some strippers may damage resin parts, test a smal area first.
