1928 AUTOGRAPHED MET OPERA BALLET, SNOW MAIDEN RIMSKY-KORSAKOV, BOLM BALLET PREMIERING IN NYC IN 1922 Autographed photo of a dancer in Russian style costume. Many autographed theatrical photos of this period are black & white, mass produced images with generic inscriptions. This photo was produced in a matte finish with an art-photography style soft-focus and individually hand watercolored. The hand written ink inscription in the upper left hand corner is faded and in places, difficult to read. More research (and time) is definitely needed on this one. Size of photo is about 8" X 10". Condition: light surface soiling and scuffs visible at odd angles. irregular edge trimming as seen in scan. Expected fading in photo, watercolor tinting and ink inscription. Light diagonal crease in upper right corner about 1-1/4" which does not go clear through mount board. Glued read more
