VAN DEVETER, Jr., ASSOCIATE EDITOR AIR TRANSPORTATIONThis is a rare 16-page magazine booklet, with photo illustrations, providing a detailed history of the Wright Aeronautical Corporation, issued on Dec. 22, 1928!The document measures 8"" x 11" and is in very good condition, with professional archival repairs.A GREAT PIECE OF AMERICAN AVIATION HISTORY!!WRIGHT AERONAUTICAL HISTORYFounded in 1903, Wright Bros. Name changed to Wright Aeronautical Co. in 1916 or 1919 its corporate charter was the design and manufacture of aero engines. 1920 - Wright Aeronautical Corp. Merged with Curtiss in 1931. Wright Aeronautical ceased to be in 1983.The Wright brothers were no longer involved with the company. Wilbur had died, and Orville had other interests, but it can be said that Wright Aeronautical engine tradition began with the first Wright brothers' engine in 1903. In the early 1920's they were still building the Hisso in small quantities for military planes, a large 6-cylinder for Navy dirigibles and a 500 HP successor to the Liberty.
