Here is a very high grade example of the scarce Series of 1928-B $1 Silver Certificate, Experimental issue with Z-B Block serial number. This note was part of the first major experimental group of small notes to be put into circulation. These were printed in November 1932 and delivered to the Treasury for release into circulation in January and February of 1933. These were 1928-A and 1928-B notes with X-B, Y-B, and Z-B serial number blocks. The experimental set was to determine the effects of changing the relative amounts of linen and cotton paper fibers. The Z-B Block notes were the control group. The 1928-B notes with these blocks are the scarcer of the two series. . They are very desirable today and quite hard to find in any conditon. Serial # Z00235675B. Treasury signatures of Woods and Gibbs. A SUPER QUALITY NOTE . Fully crisp and bright with bold colors. Excellent paper quality with NO pinholes, tears, stains or writing.
