MADE IN JAPANNOVELTY DESIGN EARTHENWAREBLACK CLOWN FACE TEA SETCOMPRISED OF TEA POT, SUGAR DISH AND CREAMER AGE C. 1930-1940 Vintage Made in Japan red clay cold paintedBlack Clown Face tea set comprised of teapot, sugar dish with lid and creamer with lid. The original foil label is located on the bottom of each piece. The teapot has a wire bail handle. All three pieces are made of black glazed terra cotta earthenware, arecold painted and rest on three feet. This is across-over collectible for teapots, clowns as well as black memorabilia. MAKERS MARK:THAMESHAND PAINTEDMADE IN JAPAN CONDITION: Inside of teapot lid has chips/damage as shown. No other chips, cracks, stains or damage found. The line just above the nose of the teapot is a glaze line - not a crack or chip. Also, t are some black paint dots on the nose of the teapot. No problemswith lids, spouts or handles except as noted. T is some flaking to the cold paint. Please examine photos carefully. **** NO RESERVE ****
