This is a very nice Handmade Sampler initialed by the maker and dated 1930, it measures 13 1/2" X 17 1/2", has a dot & dash border with the numbers 1 thru 10 down the right hand side. the handwork is done carefully using many different colors in the houses, flowers, letters etc. The saying is: DEAR LITTLE HOUSE, DEAR SHABBY STREET, DEAR BOOKS AND BEDS AND FOOD TO EAT, HOW FEEBLE ARE WORDS TO EXPRESS THE FACETS OF YOUR TENDERNESS. It is then initialed C M and dated 1930. The 1 1/4" deep original frame is solid with no chips or cracks but t are some scratches and rubs in the finish from age and handling, Please ask questions
