For your consideration today is this vintage 1930 Illinois Central Railroad train and travel guide titled The Beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast that is full of many neat photo's of historic places and towns along the route.This is pretty neat little booklet that has a lot of fine pictures, the guide features the Illinois Central name on the front, then the inside of the front shows the name again along with some advertising about the towns they traveled through, the booklet is 33 pages long, not including the front and back covers, it measures 9" tall by 6" wide, the front cover remains in very nice shape with just some small creases in the corners and light surface wear, but very fine color with no fading at all. The back has a larger crease in the lower left corner along with some light wear like on the binding edge, but nothing bad. The pages are mostly intact just fine with the middle two page section being loose from one of the staples, the rest are nice, and t is one unnumbered page that is loose that we think is an insert that has a full list of hotels from around the gulf coast. The pages are very clean and glossy and remain very fine with just a touch of handling signs! The item is loaded with so many places that the traveler could stop at, as well as many pictures, included are Deer Island, Biloxi Golf Club, Edgewater Gulf
