~~PLEASE NOTE~~ THE VIDEOS THAT APPEAR BELOW OUR VIDEO AFTER IT HAS PLAYED THROUGH ARE VIDEOS THAT YOUTUBE CHOSE TO PUT THERE AND THEY ARE NOT OUR VIDEOS NOR DO WE HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING INCLUDING SHIPPING INFO BEFORE BIDDING ~~Thank you~~ This auction is for a tin wind up POPEYE WALKER, No. 84. made by J. Chein & Co in the mid 1930’s. The early Chein logo is on the back of Popeye’s shirt (see close-up photo). The litho is very glossy and there are no signs of corrosion. The red collar on his shirt on the back side has minor fading and there are a few small digs in the litho here and there, but overall this toy is in excellent condition. All of the tabs are present and it appears that the toy has never been opened. When wound, Popeye will waddle along, moving side to side. The mechanism works well. The best physical description of this toy is the pictures and the best description of how well the toy works is the video above, so please enlarge and view all photos and watch the video too. Popeye measures 6 ¼” high, 2 ¾”wide , 2 ¼” deep. A great Popeye toy in such wonderful condition is always a welcome addition to any tin toy collection! Please look at all photos since they are an important part of our description. PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER AUCTIONS THIS WEEK FOR MORE FANTASTIC OLD TOYS...WE'VE RECENTLY read more
