Streamline Modern Description: The item up for bids is a spectacular art deco machine age modern silver plated martini pitcher. It has a stylish flared form with an integral curved cowl, and is supported on a circular ball bearing style foot. It comes with the matching ball-handled stirrer. The style is distinctly moderne and looks to be inspired by Georg Jensen designs (to be clear it is not Georg Jensen). The base is marked N.S.D.W. Co., above an 'N' in a wreath, with SUPERIOR SILVER PLATE below. It is coming into the season of iced drinks and this pitcher would be the star of any party -- have some fun and bid! Condition: It is in very good to excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. There are a few light scratches but the surface is shiny and bright. The interior is clean. Dimensions: It stands 9" tall, is 6" in diameter at the top (not including the spout or handle), and is 3 1/4" in diameter at the foot. The stirrer is 12" long.
