This is a sweet country "Double W edding Ring" pattern quilt from around the 1930s, give or take a few........looks like feedsack and every day working man's fabrics were used. It is in very nice condition with one pea size age spot noted, but no rips, tears or fabric pops on the front. There are a couple of water spots on the back, considerable fading to the blue fabric, and one tear which exposes the old cotton batting.......which I feel can easily be mended since the torn fabric is still intact. This quilt measures approximately 79 inches by 64 inches. It is both machine and hand pieced and hand quilted with a fan pattern at about 4 to 5 stitches per inch. The backing is turned towards the front to form the binding and is hand stitched on. This binding is in somewhat good shape with the beginnings of some wear noted and fading. I have not laundered this vintage quilt, but it appears clean with no unpleasant odors, and will come to you from a smoke free home........ready for immediate use and display. Shipping will be by USPS and payment is to be received within 5 days from end of auction. I will happily combine shipping costs for multiple purchases.
