Simply scroll down the page to view them. ___________________________________________________________ Airport-Antiques 1930s Figured Walnut Dome Top 2 Door Wardrobe / Armoire This 2 door wardrobe / armoire is an excellent quality piece of furniture that dates to the 1930s, and it will make a splendid addition to any bedroom. It's superbly moulded dome top forms such a pleasing and impressive aspect of the overall design, and it's beautifully grained figured walnut veneers are lined on mahogany which is a real sign of quality. The doors are very nicely shaped in accordance with the dome top, and they lead to a mahogany lined storage compartment which is fitted with a brass hanging rail that has 5 sliding brass hooks attached. 5 brass hooks are also fitted across the upper part of the mahogany back. A pierced brass handle and a working lock with key are fitted to the right hand door, and a pair of period style brass handles are fitted to the mahogany lined and dovetailed drawer which provides added storage convenience, while shaped bracket feet, of which the front 2 are carved and flared, provide perfect support. The condition is generally very good, with mainly minor marks, rubs, scuffs, and dings consistent with age and use to mention, and there is some age related fading / discolouration too. There has been a long and relatively narrow repair made down the lower back edge of the right hand side just above the base, and there are several rubs, scuffs, and dings in the edges of the dome top and in the feet. Some of the carved decoration is missing from the left hand edge of the front left hand foot, and there are some very small chips in the front right hand foots carvings. The height measures 83 inches. The width measures 50 1/4 inches. The depth measures 20 3/4 inches. The internal depth measures 17 1/4 inches. The height to the top of the base measures 18 3/4 inches. Please note that all measurements are the maximum overall sizes. The 2 door dome top section lifts off the base so that both sections can be transported and carried more easily, but please note that our delivery driver will be alone, therefore he will require some assistance when carrying the main section and possibly the base too.
