This charming old German 1930s miniature cottage has been used in a putz display for decades. The family has broken up house and will not make a putz display again, so this delightful cottage is avqilable for the putz / under Christmas tree village at your house. This miniture building is also an antique thermometer / barometer combination, and the directions (in German) are pasted on the back of the building. When one figure comes out of the house you know the barometer is dropping, and when the other comes out the barometer is rising. Height is 6" to the top of the crossed twigs and the miniscule chimney. The base is 4 1/2" across and 3 1/4" deep. The tiny molded figures are hand painted. There is a miniature twig railing across the front. The walls are covered with eggplant colored gravel and clear mica flakes for sparkle. The roof is most likely the same but it is so dusty with age that it's hard to tell. I am leaving the cleaning of the roof to the new owner. The underside of the roof is lightly stained salmon pink. Two of the four tiny feet have been reglued in place, but they are original. THIS IS EVEN MORE APEALING IN PERSON! You are going to love playing with read more
