Leapin' Lizards! This lot contains a vintage Little Orphan Annie wristwatch and its original box, along with some paperwork. First, the watch, which was made by The New Haven Clock Co. I do not know the exact age, but my research indicates that it dates to the mid to late 1930s. It has a brown leather strap with a color graphic of Annie on the face. The overall condition is good plus to very good. The watch face has yellowed with age. The strap is somewhat worn, but in good shape and intact. Through storage, the band is a bit stiffened into a curled position, but I was able to straighten it enough to scan the watch by itself. I do not believe it is working, but am not comfortable in trying to wind it, tfore you should assume that it is not working. All in all, quite a classic. But it also comes with the original box! The box features Annie and Sandy running on the top lid, as Annie admires her watch. The end sides both picture Annie and Sandy looking at her watch; the front side has Daddy Warbucks asking Annie, "What is the correct time, Annie?" The lid flips open from the back and reads, "The Orphan Annie Sport Watch, A guaranteed American watch for the American Girl, Stylish and Accurate, Smart as Orphan Annie herself, Licensed by Paul R. Gruen, Inc., Watch Division, The New Haven Clock Co." It is in very good condition. The main read more
