Railroad Brake Handle c 1930's Railroad Brakeman's Brake Club NOS MINT!! This is an OLD but still very good condition. Someone has written lightly on the label in red but difficult to see. A railroad brakeman's Brake Club, circa 1930's with its original label in tact. No proper railroad brakeman would be seen without one. What else could he use to hit the feet of the bindlestiff's who hopped the freighters for a free ride. Seriously, t was always a problem with these splintering and breaking when they were used, so this was made. It is marked Brake Club 1026-32 and the label reads, SplitYoung 2nd Gro.Indiana HickoryCAN'T BREAK 'EMO.P. Link Handle Co.Salem, Ind.,U.S.A.Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.It measures 32" long and with the exception of some light soiling, like brand new. Great old Railroad item!! What a great find!
