1930s Style décor Girl Yard Long print. It is of a girl in blue gown with large bouquet of pink roses, 1930s style headpiece, it is signed J. Knowles Hare. It measures 35 inches by 11 ¼ inches in a beautiful wood frame. There are no visible defects that stand out except some imprints of pen marks or writing marks at the bottom and possibly behind framework. The frame actually has a wood backing board behind it completely enclosing the print. I can't removed the back board without damaging the frame. With that it is not possible to remove it from the frame. The dust cover on the back (covering the wood backing board) is actually newspaper prints from February and March of 1956 including old comic strips, TV guide programs and news articles. It appears as if it was surface glued to the wood backing board which is part of the frame. To put it in prespect, it looks like a frame was built of wood, then the plastic insert was put in, then the print, then some kind of cushion backing (I am unsure what it is since I cannot see it) and then a panel was attached to the frame. Then they glued the newspaper to the backing panel. I believe the wood backing panel is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. With this I cannot see the back of the picture but I cannot imagine anyone taking the backed frame apart. It is almost like a short depth shelf with a read more
