Dougherty & Sons company which was located in downtown Philadelphia for over 100 years. Items with the Dougherty name can still be found for sale and many are considered antiques. This catalog is filled with terrific black and white illustrations of vintage kitchen equipment, tools, dinnerware, glassware, everything you can image would be used in a hotel, restaurant, etc. I see many of these items at auctions, estates and other sales - for sale as antiques and collectibles ! So, if you collect any of these items having the original catalog where they were advertised would be a great addition to your collection. I took photos of several pages so you can get an idea of what is inside. Take a look at those terrific old ranges - ovens. This Spring and Summer 1931 catalog was folded in half and mailed to someone called, "Steward: South Mountain Manor, Wernersville, Pa". It measures 8.5" x 11", all paper with stapled binding, contains 22 pages plus front and back pages of cover. As for condition, it is considered Good+ for age (see my Condition Guide below). While I did not know the former owner, it looks to me like this paper was stored for many years. The only handwriting I see is the address on the front for mailing. Paper is folded in half, so it has creases and some other minor folds and creases here and there. Small snips and clips on edges, such as cover seams, but no large rips. Light soiling on cover paper, rest all clean and nice. No water stains, no offensive odors. A small black circle with adhesive was used to close the folded catalog for mailing and that paper remains stuck to cover sheet.I took photos of the cover and a sampling of the pictures so you can see what you will receive. It is pre-owned not new and not perfect. Please understand that I have done my best to describe condition but with an item this old, 80 years now, it is not possible to say everythin g. Condition Guide: Near Fine : May be aged but book shows little if any visible wear. Very Good : May show light shelf wear but appears overall little read or used. Owner's name or inscription but no other markings. Good : Overall shows moderate use and shelf wear. Small tears and creases, spots and stains. May have owner's name or inscription and underlining, notes in text. Fair : Shows heavy use, large stains, heavy soiling, tears, and a page may be loose or missing.
