Rare Complete Antique Vintage 1932 Set of English Tavern Scenes English Artist Bob Dean All Pieces Signed Crown Ducal Florentine Pattern A Very Charming Set dated 1932, ( production for this set was discontinued in 1932 ), the complete 6 piece set of the Tavern or Bar scenes from renowned English Cartoonist Bob Dean. Each plate depicts a cartoon scene of an English Pub from the turn of the Century. As you can see the period clothing is from the late Victorian or Early Edwardian time line. Each plate is signed by Bob Dean. See below for the titles of each wonderful scene, 1. HOSS an' HOSS, ( obviously a 5 dice game for free drinks between the bartender and patron, gas light or chandelier overhead 2. A Short Sport. Pictured with 2 Gentleman patrons, and bartender in background, one toasting the other with a cocktail and a spittoon near floor. 3. "What's Yourn, Gents?" Gas Lamp Chandelier overhead, three gents at the bar with a " Bock Beer" poster on the wall behind depicting a goat. Painted on glass door in scene, Bar Room. 4. One on the House.
