A fascinating membership token for Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal National Recovery Administration (NRA) which was established in 1933. The goal of the NRA was to eliminate "cut throat competition by bringing industry, labor and government together to create codes of "fair practices" and set prices. In 1935 the NRA was unanimously declared unconstitutional by the United States Supreme Court. Immediately after the Supreme Court ruling, the NRA was disbanded.This membership token is made of aluminum and dates between 1933 (NRA formation) and 1935 (NRA disbanded).Condition is great for such an old token. Please see photos for details, but also please realize the token is bright silver aluminum. For some reason my pictures look copper/bronze.
