This is a nice example of a Mills 1933 Skyscraper antique slot machine. (Picked fresh from a private residence). Let's start with the good news. The castings are all good, no cracks or damage or any bad suprises. You will be quite pleased. The cabinet is quite nice, (not perfect), needs no refinishing, and has good original side stickers with good bright graphics. The mechanism has good clean original fortune telling reel strips! Backdoor decent shape with Mr. Owner sticker. NOW for the bad news. It is going to need a slot mechanic to correct the following problems: Reels don't spin vigerously like they should. The clock does work right, and it pays off correctly as near as I can figure. The glass to the display jackpot is broken, and the glass oval coin lens above has a crack. Easy fix. Also, the flat metal piece that seats behind the gooseneck is missing. Easy to get, can use one off any Mills gooseneck of this era. Many websites sell this common piece. Any slot mechanic can whip this machine into shape with no problem. It doesn't need anything that is hard to get. That's it! Needs no restoring or serious problems, just needs some T.L.C; and then you will have one fine ALL ORIGINAL Skyscraper. Art Deco collectors especially love these. The backdoor lock has no key, but it is in the unlocked position. You can also buy original complete read more
