Wolverine Drum Major #27 tin windup toy, was issued in 1933. This is a 'first issue' version, with rectangular base (not round), real metal shoes(not painted), and leg struts. Mfgd by Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Co. in Pittsburgh PA. When winded he actually works, plays a drum rhythmic beat. Some wear on drum top, light oxidation on inside of arms, no signs of repair, stop/start switch is present (hard to see in 4th pic). Drumsticks appear straight. Enjoy this great toy!
