1935 A.L ALL-STAR TEAM SIGNED BASEBALL JSA GEHRIG, FOXX JSA Certification #B85887 On July 8, 1935, the American League and National League faced each other in just the third All-Star Game in Major League history. The capacity crowd in Cleveland watched the AL take a convincing 4-1 victory behind the pitching of Lefty Grove and Mel Harder and the bat of Jimmie Foxx, who swatted a two-run homer. Offered is a heavily toned OAL (Harridge) baseball signed in the same black ink, autos rate ("1-4"), by 25 members of that victorious squad. Gehrig and Foxx rate on the topside of the 1-4 scale. This ball boast 8 Hall of Famers. The entire list includes: Lou Gehrig, Jimmy Foxx , R. Ferrell , Cochrane , Simmons , Cronin , Grove , Gehringer , Gomez , Bluege, Chapman, Vosmik, Hemsley, Cramer, Myer, West, Harder, Rogers Hornsby (Coach), Dave Keefe (Coach), Schoolboy Rowe, Del Baker, Denny Carroll (trainer), Cy Perkins (Coach) and B. Johnson. One auto is unidenified and could be Earl Averill. Either way this is one of the most complete balls ever offered with all but 1 or 2 of the 21 AL players and most of the coaches present. The ball exhibits some scuffing and wear and bears the look and feel of a "gamer." A scarce and desirable survivor from one of the earliest All-Star classics. LOAs from James Spence. Baseball was signed in Pen. Don't be fooled read more
