RARE 1935 ROLF ARMSTRONG BROWN & BIGELOW CALENDAR TOP SALESMAN'S SAMPLE PRIZE WINNING PICTURE This is a vintage and rare original 1935 advertising calendar top salesman's sample in tinto - gravure calendar top / print by the Brown & Bigelow Calendar Co. of St. Paul, MN - This shows a brunette (see pics)with her Terrier by Rolf Armstrong and titled Prize Winning Picture. This was used to show samples of prints that could be put on calendars. This measures approx. 16" x 8 1/2". On the back it has envelope no...series no. 2-C...Art Mount no.'s... De Luxe Mount no.'s and Prize Winning Picture - Rolf Armstrong. This is an incredible find. I purchased these (many 1935 / 1937 calendar samples) at a Estate Sale and these look like they stayed in the salesman's case (which we have) from the time they were trying to sell the calendar.
