1935 ZENITH 6-S-52 ~ 6 tube BC/SW Console This 6-S-52 is being auctioned with no reserve. It's one of the cleanest Zenith originals that we own. A set that you can leave on all day & not have to worry about the transformer getting to hot. When hooked up to a good grounded long line (antenna), it pulls in stations across the dial on broadcast & shortwave very well. Chassis is clean enough to eat off of. 9' electrical cord, both lamps, tubes, electrolytic/paper capacitors, & tuning belt have been replaced with new. Speaker, dial glass, & Z knobs are mint. Cloth is original with a small wear spot in the bottom left-hand corner. It's been cleaned and still displays very well. The finish on this piece is unbelievable for it's 76 year old age! The original owner covered it with a dust cloth for 30+ years before we purchased it. This also explains the immaculate condition of the entire radio inside and out. Cabinet only has a few spots that show any signs of wear. Cabinet size : 38-7/8" tall x 22-1/2" wide x 12-1/4" deep. We have been fortunate enough to own several of these Zenith models, & this is by far the nicest one in our collection. The sound is excellent, & it's looks match. Will be shipped in a new 1" soft styrofoam lined shipping box with plenty of bubble wrap & peanuts. Would prefer shipping Greyhound, as they are almost read more
