This Model was the 2003 Annual Automobile Festival at Pebble Beach Limited Edition Model Ford’s design engineer, E. T. “Bob” Gregorie designed this 1936 Cabriolet. Gregorie was responsible for Ford designs from 1935 to 1948, and this car has been has been called the most beautiful Ford ever. This was one of Franklin Mints best efforts when introduced in 1997. It is stunningly beautiful with fine details and the terrific fit and finish. This is a truly stellar effort. Now, for what was formerly the annual Pebble Beach Specials, this great car was painted a dark red, which makes an outstanding model even better. Details from the engine compartment to the undercarriage and of course the interior are all outstanding. The engine is a work of art in itself featuring full wiring while the undercarriage is completely detailed, more so than on most other models. There is even a radio antenna mounted along the bottom of the right side running board, correct for the car. The tan ‘leather’ upholstery is beautifully detailed and includes a removable CLOTH convertible top and boot so you can show this car with the top down. This car is heavily optioned with many first time features for the 1936 model season including the clock mounted in the rearview mirror and the radio mounted in the center of the dash.
