1937 ONTHE BANKS OF PLUM CREEK by Laura Ingalls Wilder Illustrated by Sewell & Boyle 1 st Edit/1 st Print #164 Published by Harper, New York, London, 1937. Copyright, 1937. (10/7). Stated “First Edition”. Printing code I-M, indicates this edition was printed September-1937. Written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, with 16 b&w illustrations both in-text and full-page by Helen Sewell and Mildred Boyle as well as one colored frontispiece. Decorated endpapers and a colorful illustrated front cover. The book measures 7” by 8 ½” tall. Condition: Excellent. Cloth-board cover clean with minimal bumping of corners and spine ends. Remnant of small notation in pencil on free front endpaper. I found one page with a stain near the bottom, pg.26. Remainder very nice and clean. An excellent copy of this rare 1 st /1 st edition.
