M1884 / 98 III 1937 Jos Corts & Son, Remscheider Hobelmesserfabrik, 9 and 23/32 inch blade. Spread wing eagle/ WaA253 waffen proofs are double stamped on the pommel and are single stamped on the flash side, the flash guard, and under the cross guard.1938 Jos Corts & Son, Remscheider Hobelmesserfabrik S/184 scabbard and 1937 M1884 / 98 belt frog, manufactured by Reinhold ADA, Oberursel, Taunus. All three items are in superb condition! Jos Corts bayonets are said to be among the five most rare German bayonets produced by many collectors today. The company is still in existence and produces surgical equipment.
