Imagine little kids of all ages loving these Big Little Books and having a whole collection on your shelves. This is a great tribute to Joe Louis, known as The Brown Bomber, written by Gene Kessler and published by The Whitman Publishing Company, Racine, Wisconsin, in 1938. The first chapter, Up from the Cotton Fields, transports us to a time when there weren't many opportunities for a poor southern boy. The book goes on to give us a nice summary of Joe Lewis' life, both professional and personal, in easy to read format. It is peppered with photographs from World Wide Photos, Inc.The book is in good condition for age, with the binding fully intact. The cover is generally good with spine separation at the hinges near the top and some wear at edges and corners. The pages have yellowed, consistent with its age with occasional brown spots. The innerhinges are cracked but holding well. The pictures are black/white and still sharp. The book measures 4 1/2 by 3 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches. We ship on the next business day after purchase and maintain a 100% customer satisfaction rating. Please also check out our other ebay antiques, fine collectables, and our antiquarian book collection. Thanks for shopping with us.Gardennut01
