A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Charles Dickens, introduction by Lionel Barrymore(who played Scrooge in a radio play of the work), illustrations Everett Shinn, 1938 The John C Winston Company, 131 pages, 9" by 7 1/2" red cloth covered boards with color Shinn illustration front and back. Corners bumped, wear to spine ends and edges of cover, inside is a clean tight copy with slightly toned pages. There are twelve full page color illustrations and many small B&W vignettes on the margins of the text. This edition follows the spelling and punctuation of the text of the first edition and contains a facsimile reproduction of page 62 of the original manuscript.A very nice copy for a collection.
