For consideration is a rare vintage 1938 publication of "A CHRISTMAS CAROL in prose being a ghost story of Christmas" by CHARLES DICKENS with introduction by Lionel Barrymore with illustrations by Everett Shinn. Copyright, 1938, by the John C. Winston Company. Published by the John C. Winston Company, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Toronto. Overall, in Nearfine condition with slight exterior wear. Binding is tight to the spine. Book title is listed on the front/spine covers in gold gilt lettering. Interior pages are very sharp, crisp and clean in character. No rips, tears and writing. A scarce nicely illustrated publication by Everett Shinn.
