This auction is for a "STANDARDIZED TEXTBOOK OF BARBERING" MADE IN 1939. This book was published by Associated Master Barbers of America. On the front of the book it says "IT PAYS TO LOOK WELL" "THIRD EDITION". This antique barber manual has everything from explaining how to do a haircut, shave, how to use a shaving strop, hair tonics, honing, history of barbering, pharmacology, skin and scalp alignments, hygiene, sanitation and even cells, bones of the head, nervous system, blood supply of face and scalp, shedding and regrowth of hair. This catalog has 330 pages. Its has some wear but is mostly in good condition for its age. This is honestly a great barber book until this day and is also a great antique.
