1939 Martin 00-17 Original Golden EraPre War This 1939 Martin 00-17 has a lot of potential. This guitar is over 71 years old, and it needs to be restored. Built two years before the US involvement in World War II, this 00-17 was constructed during C.F. Martin’s greatest Era. The Pre War Martin 00-17 guitars really sound fantastic. is an opportunity for someone with the skill to repair to really do justice and bring this guitar back to life. This guitar was purchased in it’s current condition from the original owner back in the early 1950’s. While the intention was to restore this guitar, it never came to fruition. This 00-17 has remained without strings on it since it was acquired back in the 1950’s. The high resolution pictures do a better job of describing the guitar’s overall condition. I will point out the obvious; t a few cracks. T is also a piece of wood missing from the back of the guitar. I do not have the piece. Two of the tuners are missing parts (please see the photo). All bracing appears to be original and, and no significant repairs appear to have been made to this guitar. The neck also appears to be straight with no signs of twisting or warping.
