"BOZO THE CAPITOL CLOWN" 78rpm RECORD PLAYER - 1940s - early 1950s (c) Capitol Records, Inc. / Steelman Phonograph & Radio Co., Inc. Model C25. 12" x 10" x 6". Wood, metal and plastic construction. Earliest version of this uncommon character phonograph. This scarce variation features a 5.75" x 3.75" semi-transparent Bozo front plaque (color reverse litho on raised celluloid-like plastic). The plaque reads BOZO 'THE CAPITOL CLOWN' and includes the famous Capitol Records logo. Condition is considered FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Misc. paint chipping on the reverse litho image of Bozo plaque with no plastic cracks or chips. Misc. surface scuffing/surface deterioration on revolving table.
