1940's Effanbee Dy-Dee baby doll in the original box wearing Effanbee tagged batiste gown with bonnet and pink slip! Aunt Patsy Tells A Story, Diary and original layette list come with this doll! There is a pair of shoes also. The Effanbee tagged batiste gown and bonnet, mainsook slip and socks are in good shape with a little bit of light brown staining on back bonnet and some yellowing to the tagged gown. The hardboard box has some wear, has a pink ribbon close on one side of box but not on the other. Box opens and closes nicely, anyway. One corner of box is an open seam. Doll has hard plastic head with molded ears(not applied), has brown open/close eyes that are somewhat glazed(box reads "Brown Eyes") and eyelashes are good. Open mouth shows doll's little tongue. Marked Dy-Dee body is shrunken as many of the rubber bodies are due to age. The Dy-Dee's Diary has the child's name and address in book but is otherwise blank. The Aunt Patsy book has a tear across middle of binding but is otherwise very good. The Layette list is good. The bottle and nipple are missing. Please look at the photos! A wonderful 1940's Effanbee doll with accessories!
