1940's Remington Portable Typewriter Model 5 (Five) Streamliner with Case Make: Remington Model: 5 (Five) Streamline Date of Manufacture: 1940's (Made in USA) Font Size: 10 characters/inch; Character Height: 0.125" (Max) Font Style: Serif Condition: Very Good (See photos and notes) Body Color: Black Case Color: Black Owners Manual: No Size: 10 1/2" x 12" x 5 1/2" Weight: 19 lbs 10 oz Ribbons: Not included. Ribbon in photos is from when I purchased it and are in need of replacement. Notes: This typewriter was purchased by me at an antiques/junk store in the mid 1980's. I used it once or twice and it worked fine. It has been closed up in it's case since. Some dust has accumulated underneath, but overall, the typewriter looks fantastic. It seems to work fine but I cannot vouch for this 100% as I am not completely familiar with how this should operate. There is one 1" scratch on the left side beneath the cylinder, otherwise there is no other visible damage. Please read carefully! Item sold as is, all sales final.
