These 1940's-era figurines are made of the wood pulp and resin combination that was popular at that time. This is the sought-after set of an elderly Jewish man and woman. They are both worn due to age.The woman stands 5 1/4" tall. She is slightly stooped over, and holds a book that has a raised Star of David on it. The man 5 5/8" tall. He carries a folded tallis, or prayer shawl, under his arm.Sadly, it looks like he has taken a fall at some point. His base was cracked and repaired. As a result, he can only stand if you glue something on the bottom to even out the base. When found at an estate sale, t was a piece of folded paper that helped support it, but I removed it. Then I realized why it was t This is easily remedied.I pack carefully with bubble wrap and plenty of padding. Shipping fee includes delivery confirmation. Postal insurance optional.
