Lot of 3: 1940s Roosters + Hen ~ Mexican Folk Art Pottery Tlaquepaque attrib Tomas LucanoAlpha rooster is approximately 10" tall; Younger rooster, 7.25" tall; Nesting hen, 4" long.Stunning richly colored Tlaquepaque high-gloss glaze. Alpha rooster tail contains holes intended for an unknown purpose.According to "Popular Arts of Mexico 1850-1950" by Donna McMenamin, these pieces are likely the work of Tomas Lucano circa 1940.No apparent damage other than routine low-fired kiln imperfections.
