I bought 2 sets of trains for my son at a recent auction. The whole Lionel sets weren't cheap. I asked him to go through the 'lots' and take out everything he wants to keep. These Rare Lionel figurines didn't interest him in the slightest. I could tell they were vintage (Probably 60's), in mint condition and well painted. I say mint because you can see in the pictures the figurine is still wired to the original box! I don't know why the previous owner would get rid of the box but keep the figurines wired to original box insert? The figurine was crafted in Japan which is clearly marked on the bottom. I was able to find only a couple of these figurines online. Ebay had 2. These are 1 and 2 gauge railroad figurines. You can see their size by comparing to my hand. They're on the bigger side than your normal lead figurine. The ones I found online were priced at $30 for 1. On the Ebay UK site one was going for $47 (US Dollars).I'm thinking $15 is a great deal - I'll also put a 'buy now' button for $25. I'll be listing 7 figurines back to back. If you want additional figures, all seven will be up for auction. If you buy several at $25, I'll re-imburse a few bucks and combine shipping. - I have a good selling and buying record.Enjoy - email any questions!
