If you like a ukulele ladyUkulele lady like-a youIf you want to linger where it's shadyUkulele lady linger too... 5 x 7 inch Original Vintage Topless Hula Girl Photograph - Hawaii, circa 1940 Vintage glossy, single-weight fiber photo, approximately 5 x 7 inches. A nice example of the WWII-era photographs produced for U.S. military servicemen stationed in the Pacific Theater who wanted to add an exotic flair (a bit daring at the time) to their photo-scrapbooks. If you're familiar with the genre, you'll recognize this lovely model (I recall reading she was Japanese-Hawaiian); she's more commonly seen in smaller-sized prints that were packaged like trading cards in sets of ten or twelve different poses. She's also featured in another photo of a slightly smaller size I've listed. Condition is very good. There's only minor evidence of handling and oxidation of the emulsion. This lovely image would make a fine addition to any collection, or period-decor for a man-cave or tiki-bar. My scanner is set to "millions of colors", the resulting images are un-enhanced and I always provide at least one scan of my photographs cropped beyond edge-to-edge; the goal being to come a close as possible to presenting them as they will appear in-person.Flat
