1941 Fire Guard World War 2 (WW2) Helmet Dated and Made by B & W 1941 Nice quality Fire Guard Zuckermen Civil Defense Helmet, the Interior with intact leather sweat bad and band cushioning, it is dated clearly 1941 the exterior has FG printed to back and front of the helmet, original paint intact, some rusting , and original string through air holes Stamped 6.3/4 inside a shield on leather head band This would make a great addition for any collection and 1940s Re-Enactment one of the best condition helmet i have owned, which of this quality are becoming rare over 70 year old History The Zuckerman helmet (officially known as Civilian Protective Helmet was a British helmet designed for use by civil defence organisations and the general public during World War II. It was researched and designed by Solly Zuckerman , Derman Christopherson and Hugh Cairns .The helmet was manufactured by a number of companies, among them the Austin Motor Co. and Morris Motors Payment to be made within 7 days of the end of auction Postage andpacking to be paid by the buyer.
