The case has a patina over most of the brass. And, even though the purpose of a chronometer is to be consistent, not to be accurate, this clock is both consistent and accurate. It keeps excellent time, winds and sets correctly, and the wind indicator works properly. The balance is strong. The face is in superior condition. This piece of workmanship was cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker in April 2016. The case and back are marked No. 1613. The bezel No. 3461.
