The Yanks' 13th pennant was a real team effort, as Tiny Bonham led the pitching staff (21-5, 2.27 ERA) and HOFer Joe Gordon took AL MVP honors (.322, 18 HRs, 103 RBIs). This was Joltin' Joe's last season before his 3-year WWII service. The scuffed, medium-toned OAL (Harridge) ball features signatures averaging "8-9" overall w/DiMaggio ("7"), Ruffing, Rizzuto, Dickey, Gomez, Gordon, Combs, Henrich, Chandler, Borowy, Kearse, Rolfe, Branch, Donald, Priddy, Selkirk, Crosetti, Hassett, Keller, Schreiber, Lindell, Bonham, Schulte, Steinbach, Rosar and Fletcher. According to JSA, McCarthy, Breuer and Murphy are secretarial. Auction LOA from JSA.
