Text on photo includes: The coastal command, war-time merger of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, took this photo of Dieppe, France where the commandos struck in their great raid. Not previously released, this British official photo shows ships sunk by the British at the harbor mouth, at the entrance to the inner channel and in the Basin de Paris. This is one of a series of illustration in the newly-published ��œCoastal Command.��. Additional Info: . Photo is dated: 2-4-1943 and measures: 11.25 x 7.75.
