This is an original WW2 manufactured BRITISH NO. 3 ENFIELD RIFLE BAYONET . NO SCABBARD WITH THIS BAYONET, JUST THE BAYONET . This bayonet was manufactured in 1944 by the ROYAL FACTORY ISHAPORE, India, most likely for issue to Indian soldiers who were serving under British command at the time. This bayonet is in very good condition and it has a heavy parkerized finish on the metal parts. Nice stampings on the ricasso with the letters "DP" (drill purpose) stamped on one side of the cross guard. There are some light dings and scratches on the wooden handles, there is also a small chip of wood missing on one handle near the pommel area, see picture # 8. THIS BAYONET IS NOT A DEWAT, IT IS A FULLY FUNCTIONAL BAYONET for the British No. 3 Enfield Rifle. THIS BAYONET WILL NOT FIT THE BRITISH NO. 4 ENFIELD RIFLE or the JUNGLE CARBINE .
