Map is double-sided and is 37.5" x 20.5". Colors are excellent and map is in mint condition. According to my research, t were actually only a very few actual silk maps made, most were rayon. So the "silk" map is a misnomer. This map was actually carried by a navy pilot of my relation on flights. A duplicate of this map was recently sold by Cartographic Associates referenced at , for $70.00. Its specifications are: Scale 1:1,000,000, published by the Army Air Force, Washington, D.C., 1944, map numbers C43/44
