1945 WORLD WAR WW II US NAVY 40 MM MK 2 ARTILLERY 4 BRASS SHELL CASING MK 6 CLIPOld authentic 40 MM MK-2 brass artillery shells in clip. Clip is stamped U.S. NAVY BU. ORD. 40 MM CLIP MK.6 INSP R.V. 1945 on one end and on the other end it is stamped FERRO MF'G. CO CONT. NO NORD 6615 DWG NO. 423144.Caps of shells are marked with MK22 and either 44 or 45 around the primer which I believe indicates the manufacture year. Each shell appears to be made by a different manufacturer as there are different markings but all show 40 MM and 3 shells are marked MK2 while one is marked M14 - M K 3 with II after it? Each shell measures 12 1/4" and are in good condition with normal wear and some corrosion. Clip is nice with light corrosion and measures 9" across. This is a heavy set that measures 8 pounds before packaging for secure shipment.
