Up for auction is a very rare mint error. A 1946 D Lincoln Wheat Penny struck on a silver dime planchet . Graded and certified by ANACS as AU50--Details Damaged . The damage you can see from the pictures provided. The major damage is the rim damage above Lincoln's head and the scratches on his jacket. Probably from a previous owner checking to see if it was plated. The planchet was meant to be a first year Roosevelt dime but got struck as a Lincoln. Would make a fantastic addition to a coin collection. The pictures are of the exact coin you would receive. Please feel free to ask questions. I'll answer them as soon as I can.
