The St. Louis Cardinals needed a pair of extra games against the Brooklyn Dodgers to win the 1946 National League pennant. And they needed all seven games to beat Boston in the '46 World Series. On August 11, 1946, the Cardinals visited Crosley Field in Cincinnati and pounded the Reds twice in a Sunday doubleheader. The great Stan Musial was 8-for-10 in both games and hit career dinger #46 in the second game. The Cardinals pounded out 22 hits in the first game for an easy 15-4 win, then won game two 7-3. This is an original 18-page program from that 1946 regular season SECOND game in excellent condition. It has been scored in pencil and is easy to follow. No creasing, no ripping, no writing...about as nice as the day of the game. Winner pays $5.00 for Priority Mail shipping. Winning bidder must provide payment no later than 7 days from closing date of auction or the item will be relisted and the non-paying bidder will be added to our blocked bidder list.
