This listing is for a 1947 US Navy G-1 flight jacket made by A. Pritzker & Son. This flight jacket is a 55J14 which is the first jacket to us the G-1 nomenclature. The 70 year old jacket is made of goatskin with a mouton collar and has painted USN under the collar and no holes punched in the windflap. The jacket is well broken in with the top coat worn in several areas, some white paint marks in areas and nicks in the leather. The zipper is broken and the two front pocket buttons are missing, the knits need replacing and the collar has some wear.Being a rare flight jacket, the jacket is a great candidate for a restoration. With the sale, I will include a correct set of knits, cuffs and rib rack waistband and two buttons for the front pockets. The zipper slider is original Conmar with leather pull can be reused. The original liner is intact with no tears. The size tag is missing, my guess is the jacket is a size 44. Measurements were taken with the jacket lying flat and zipper pulled together. Pit to pit 22.5", front top to bottom including collar 28.5", sleeve including cuff 25".
